Exhibition Słońsk – Station 10:
The panel shows the image of a coat of arms on the castle façade and describes what it is all about.
A small sensation is the discovery of coat of arms panels on the north façade.
Below the upper storey, each four metres apart, there used to be five coats of arms with reference to the castle and its owners. They must have been visible until the destruction of the castle in 1638.
In the course of the reconstruction after the Thirty Years’ War, the coats of arms were removed, the spots were bricked up and the entire façade was plastered. It probably would still be today if it had not been for the fire.
