Exhibition Słońsk – Station 3:
As part of the funding project, digital 3D models of the former Sonnenburg Order Castle were created. The plastic 3D model at Station 3 shows the castle as it once looked in the 16th century. Characteristic features are the moat with drawbridge and the forecourt with watchtowers.
On the front façade, in the area of the recessed window axes, there used to be two cast-iron armorial panels.
A 3D relief of the left panel is mounted as a tactile model at Station 3. It shows the eight-pointed cross of the Order of St John and the sword of the Master of the Order. Polish braille describes the relief for blind and visually impaired people.
The left panel in the church shows the insignia of the Order of St John, the eight-pointed cross and the Master’s sword, embedded in an expressive floral wreath.
The right-hand panel in the church shows the inherited Nassau house coat of arms of Johann Moritz, supplemented by the acquired honours (Imperial Prince’s Crown and elephant as a reference to the Order of the Elephant awarded by the Danish King).
