    3D sculpture of Sonnenburg Castle

    Exhibition Słońsk – Station 3: As part of the funding project, digital 3D models of the former Sonnenburg Order Castle were created. The plastic 3D model at Station 3 shows the castle as it once looked in the 16th century. Characteristic features are the moat with drawbridge and the forecourt with watchtowers.

    The History of the Johanniter Castle Sonnenburg

    Exhibition Słońsk – Station 4: The panel shows a timeline of the castle’s history. On the right side is a relief of the 17th century front façade and corresponding explanations in Braille. In addition, a QR code links 3D files for visualisation.

    Tactile orientation plan of the castle ruins

    Exhibition Słońsk – Station 5: The board is located at the entrance to the castle ruins and shows a floor plan of the castle with rooms and information points. The print is in tactile relief so that blind and visually impaired people can find their way around. The plan is also explained in Braille.

    Exhibition Słońsk – Station 7: The panel shows the work of Johann Moritz von Nassau-Siegen, who, as master of the Order of St. John, ensured reconstruction and stability in the Oder-Warthe region after the Thirty Years’ War.

    Exhibition Słońsk – Station 8: The panel shows the Knights’ Hall, the centrepiece of the former Order residence in Sonnenburg. A QR code links digital 3D views of the once magnificent hall.

    Exhibition Słońsk – Station 9: The panel shows the image of a decorative ornamental element of the castle façade. The shell is in relief so that blind and visually impaired people can feel the structure. The text on the plaque is also in Braille.
