In 2019, the municipality of Słońsk, together with its partners, the city of Seelow and the Brandenburg Provincial Cooperative of the Order of St John, launched an EU-funded project to promote the history of the Order of St John in the region. The primary goals were to protect the ruins of Słońsk Castle from further decay and to link other Johanniter sites to create a new tourist offer.
A barrier-free permanent exhibition was developed for the Slonsk castle ruins, with a 3D model of the former castle and numerous tactile elements and a lot of information about the Order and the castle.
